These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Baghdad OTP (the "Service"), a backend API that delivers one-time passcodes (OTPs) over WhatsApp. By integrating with or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Permitted use — OTP delivery only
The Service is provided solely for the delivery of one-time passcodes for authentication purposes. You may use it only to send verification codes to users who are completing sign-in, sign-up, or a similar security action within your application. Any other use — including marketing, promotional, or general-purpose messaging — is not permitted.
2. No spam or abuse
You agree not to use the Service to, and not to allow anyone else to:
- Send spam, bulk, unsolicited, or marketing messages of any kind.
- Send codes to phone numbers without a legitimate authentication request from that user.
- Harass, defraud, or deceive recipients, or send unlawful or harmful content.
- Attempt to overload, disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
- Violate any applicable law, regulation, or the policies of the WhatsApp messaging platform.
3. Enforcement — we may block misuse
We may monitor use of the Service for abuse. If we reasonably believe the Service is being misused or that these Terms have been violated, we may block, rate-limit, suspend, or terminate access at any time, with or without notice, to protect recipients, the platform, and other users. We may also remove or refuse any request that appears abusive.
4. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for activity carried out through your account or API credentials, for keeping those credentials secure, and for ensuring you have a lawful basis to send a passcode to each recipient. You must comply with all laws and third-party platform requirements applicable to your use.
5. Service provided "as is"
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that delivery will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free, as delivery depends in part on third-party networks and the WhatsApp platform.
6. No liability for misuse
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Baghdad OTP is not liable for any misuse of the Service, including misuse by you, your users, or any third party, nor for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. You are solely responsible for how the Service is used through your integration.
7. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
